I’m Jordan Limperis, a Senior Applied AI Scientist and data scientist working in healthcare. I most recently forward-deployed at R1 RCM, embedding with a national health system to bring real-time eligibility into live revenue-cycle operations. Before that I spent three years at L.A. Care Health Plan, the largest publicly operated health plan in the U.S., where I owned production ML end to end and rose from Data Scientist II to Senior Applied AI Scientist.

My work tends to share a shape: a messy real-world problem, a model that has to survive contact with production, and a number a decision-maker can trust. A $13M real-time eligibility rollout at a $31B health system that unstuck a decision stalled for 18 months. A $10M claims-audit application validated by a randomized controlled trial. ChatGPT API services with CoVe hallucination control that improves medication identification and prevents $2M in adverse outcomes for members. A statewide data-engineering model I core-designed for DHCS RSST.

The healthcare thread started at Epic Systems, where I began as a technical engineer on the EHR platform that runs most large U.S. hospitals and earned Epic certifications across five modules. I trained at Cornell (neuroscience, magna cum laude) and Georgia Southern (M.S. Computer Science, summa cum laude, 4.0), where I co-authored two peer-reviewed transformer papers (see Research). I like the boring parts, evaluation, pipelines, monitoring, because that’s what makes the interesting parts real.

Beyond the systems I ship at work, I want to understand where AI agents can go next, using and building them well past my day-to-day deployments.
